30A West End Shuttle


The 30A West End Shuttle was a temporary shuttle route established by PAT while construction was occurring at the West End Circle. This route was a free shuttle and served areas not being served due to the rerouting of the regular routes.

Garages assigned to the 30A:

Collier Division - 11/28/89 - 05/31/90 (approximately)

Destination Signs:

The destination sign was either blank or signed up "PAT Shuttle", both with a 30A window card.

 Routing:

Inbound - Sanctus Street at Main Street via Main Street, Short Street, Stueben Street, Chartiers Avenue, Lorenz Avenue to Crucible.

Outbound - Lorenz Avenue at Crucible via Lorenze Avenue, Stueben Street, Alexander, Neptune, Sanctus Street to Main Street.

Approximate one way trip time was 5 minutes.

Route Highlights:

  • Started: 11/28/89 as a temporary route

  • Ended: 05/31/90 (Timetable stated for approximately 6 months)

  • The 30A ran 7 days a week including holidays.

  • No fares were collected on this route.

  • The route was run primarily by 35 foot coaches.

Schedules (Known PAT issued schedules are listed):

The 30A had only one schedule printed. It was on a "Rider Alert" referring to detours for the West End Circle construction. No folder number was assigned.

Route Disposition:

The 30A was discontinued once regular service could resume through the West End Circle.
