Destination Signs:

None. This route ran strictly with window cards.

Alternate Routing 2 - From Gill Hall Road via Old Clairton Road to East Bruceton, to Route 51, Southland Shopping Center, Route 51 to Cloverleaf (Old Clairton Road and Route 51) and via regular route to Whitehall or Gill Hall.

A one way trip on the regular routing took approximately 28 minutes.

Schedules (Known PAT issued schedules are listed):

The 49H had one distinct type of schedule issued from Brentwood Garage and was folder B-21.

B-21A - 09/06/66 - The only schedule issued for this route

Route Highlights:

  • Started 09/06/66 as a 60 day trial route.

  • Ended 11/05/66 due to low ridership after the 60 day trial period.

  • The 49H ran Monday through Saturday with no Sunday or holiday service.

Route Disposition:

The 49H was discontinued due to low ridership. Limited service remained to the Gill Hall area from the 46H Pleasant Hills via Gill Hall extention and Irwin-Fidelity and Doyle Road service was already handled by the 46H.
